Practice Nurses

We now have 3 part-time nurses, providing a range of general and specialist services, including cervical smears, care of long term conditions, immunisations, health promotion, smoking cessation and family planning advice.

We also have 2 Health Care Assistants providing routine services such as blood taking, blood pressure recording and ECGs.

Administrative Staff

The practice employs a Practice Manager and a team of reception, administrative and secretarial staff. All help to ensure that the practice offers a friendly, effective service.

All staff are required to comply with a Code of Confidentiality and are required to respect any information you give them with discretion and confidentiality.

Community Nurses

These nurses are employed by North Tyneside Primary Care Trust. They mainly provide nursing care to patients in their own homes. Some clinic sessions are also provided at The Oxford Centre, West Farm Avenue, Longbenton.

Patients can leave a message/arrange an appointment or visit by telephoning 0191 2195195 Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm or 0845 6080321 at other times.

Health Visiting Team

The health visiting team is based at the Balliol Centre, Longbenton and covers the GP surgeries in the area. The team provides a range of services including advice on child and parenting issues, baby clinics, baby massage and various other groups, as well as health promotion for the whole family and community.
