Practice Nurses

We have 3 part-time nurses, providing a range of general and specialist services, including cervical smears, care of long term conditions, immunisations, health promotion, smoking cessation and family planning advice.

We also have a Health Care Assistant providing routine services such as blood taking, blood pressure recording and ECGs and a Phlebotomist who takes blood.

Administrative Staff
The practice employs a Practice Manager and a team of reception, administrative and secretarial staff. All help to ensure that the practice offers a friendly, effective service.

All staff are required to comply with a Code of Confidentiality and any information you give them with discretion and confidentiality.

Community Nurses

There are 4 community nurses attached to the practice. They mainly provide nursing care for patients in their own homes, but also offer some clinic sessions at the practice each week.

Health Visiting Team

The health visiting team is based at the Balliol Centre, Longbenton and covers the GP surgeries in the area. The team provides a range of services including advice on child and parenting issues, baby clinics, baby massage and various other groups, as well as health promotion for the whole family and community.
