The Childhood Immunisation Programme

From January 2011 the practice has implemented the new childhood immunisation programme.

Details of the immunisations given are:

When to Immunise Disease Protected Against Vaccinations Given
2 Months Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio & Haemophilius Influenzae (Hib), Pneumococcal Infection 2 Injections
3 Months Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio & Haemophilius Influenzae (Hib), Meningitis C 2 Injections
4 Months Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio & Haemophilius Influenzae (Hib), Pneumococcal infection, Meningitis C 3 Injections
Between 12 and 13 Months Haemophilius Influenzae ( Hib) & Meningitis C, Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR), Pneumococcal Infection 3 Injections
Pre-school Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis and Polio, Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) 2 Injections
13 years - 18 years Tetanus, Diphtheria and Polio 1 Injection

Important Update Regarding Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)

It is important that all children and young people (up to 24 years) have received 2 MMR vaccinations.

If you or your child are over 5 years and have not had 2 MMR vaccinations an appointment can be made with our Practice Nurse.

If you are unsure, our reception staff should be able to check your MMR immunisation details in your medical records.
